Pinot Grigio / Pinot Gris
/PEE-noh GREE-joh/Pinot Grigio (Pinot Gris in French) produces two very different styles. Italian Pinot Grigio is light-bodied, crisp, and refreshing, best drunk young with light food. Alsatian Pinot Gris is richer, fuller, and more perfumed, capable of great depth and even sweetness. Both share the grape's orchard-fruit character.
