Trebbiano
/treb-by-AH-no/Trebbiano is Italy's most widely planted white grape, also known as Ugni Blanc in France where it helps distil Cognac. As a wine grape it makes lean, crisp, uncomplicated whites; certain Umbrian and Abruzzo expressions and aged Vin Santo prove it can also be striking.
